Hoop House:
A Portable Greenhouse

2nd Year Fall 2017  \\  Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Oakland, Pittsburgh, PA

For this group project, our goal is to construct a portable and accessible enclosure for supporting the plants in the planter bed to grow during cold weather. We worked in a team of seven and developed a design that is responsive to the site, Phipps Conservatory. We produced a set of 28-page, well-informed construction drawings and constructed our hoop house with conduits and heat shrink plastic. After construction our group carried it to the site and finished installation.
